Tibian Wyles

Tibian is a descendant from the Girramay and Kalkadoon tribes Warrgamay from North Queensland. He is an accomplished actor, writer, dancer and musician and we are thrilled to have Tibian join the Youth Mill family.

Leonard Donahue

Leonard Donahue

Leonard Donahue is a descendant from the Djabugay people of the rainforest in far-north Queensland. Recently Donohue's been involved with performances of the award-winning children's aboriginal story Kookoo Kookaburra , which have been performed at schools, parks and community halls all over WA as part of Shows On The Go from Country Arts WA. His latest project is as co-writer of “Dear Brother” a dynamic poignant story using dance, music and poetry.

Charlie Lane

Charlie Lane

Charlie is a Yorta Yorta man born and raised in South East Melbourne. He has undertaken numerous musical projects and worked with a number of renown producers in the Melbourne region. Charlie is a singer/songwriter and has been cultivating his musical career since the age of 12.

Lenae Kaa

Lenae Kaa

Lenae’s Aboriginal heritage hails from the land of the Kaalamaya people in Kalgoorlie, WA, and her Māori ancestry is from the Ngati Porou tribe. Proud of her mixed heritage, Lenae has much to share spiritually. When she performs, she embodies the cultural beauty and depth of two wonderfully rich traditions, creating a unique and powerful presence on stage.

Littiah Billy

Littiah Billy

Lithia is a proud Porumagal and Meriam woman with ancestry ties to the Nywaigi and Wuthathi people. Littiah was raised on her home island know as Poruma, located in the Kulkalgal nations of the Torres Strait. Littiah is a singer and dancer in her local island dance group known as the Urab dancers known for their vision of preserving, strengthening maintaining heritage and language.

Josiah Nehow

Josiah Nehow

Josiah is a proud Ngadjonji (Atherton Tablelands), Mer Island (Torres Straites) and Tanna Island (Vanuatu) descendant who grew up in Maryborough, Queensland, surrounded by music. Josiah started singing at the age of 10 and began learning and playing bass, guitar and piano since he was 12 years old, and has been constantly involved in the local and surrounding community over the years as a musician for various bands and events. Josiah enjoys learning and sharing his experiences with The Youth Mill team.

Shanice McLean

Shanice McLean

Shanice is an Eastern Yilinji woman growing up by the coast in Mossman, a rural town just north of Cairns, Queensland. Shanice is a graduate of Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA) and is a wonderfully accomplished vocalist. Her voice, beauty and soul inspires other young people and lights up the stage when performing.

Edwin Fejo

Edwin Fejo

Edwin is a proud Larrakia & Warray person who is devoted to advocating about his country and people. He shares knowledge and passion for his land through singing and speaking about the importance of his ancestors and mob. He grew up in the Northern Territory on Bagot, Darwin’s largest urban community, Acacia Larrakia community and out bush on rural communities Beswick and Barunga, located near Katherine, NT. Edwin is a strong advocate for my lgbtq+ community here in Darwin and proud that he can express his identity with his Larrakia mob. “I was given the skin name bulanj” “My totem is Green tree frog” Edwin fejo

Taeg Twist

Taeg Twist

Taeg Twist is a Birri Gubba Birriah and Ngāpuhi artist from Waibene in the Zenadth Kes. Introduced to the performing arts through music, Taeg performed with QANTAS and Gondwana Choirs from age 10, with highlights including performances at the Shanghai World Expo, the Melbourne Grand Prix, and the Oprah Winfrey Show in Sydney. Taeg has been a dedicated teaching artist for JUTE, Queensland Theatre, NIDA, and ILBIJERRI Theatre Company. Now, they are expanding their artistic reach by participating with The Youth Mill performing Arts Co.

The team member we can always rely on, he is the one who inspires us with his determination and flexibility to complete tasks and solve problems which is what makes him a great role model and ethical worker. Leeroy’s communication and listening skills are excellent, he is passionate with the dealings of people in many different situations, and embraces a great work ethic and energy. Leeroy is a wonderful performer and mentor.

Nicole Lampton

Nicole Lampton

Nicole Lampton is of Aboriginal and South Sea Islander heritage: respectively, the Juru/Bundjalung nation from Ayr, Western Kuku Yalanji in Mossman & Ukerebagh Island, Tweed Heads. Walawarra tribe from Lake Nash in Australia and the Yakel tribe of Tanna Island, Tafea Province, Vanuatu. She is a very accomplished vocalist with a lot to share as a performer and mentor.

Shalom Kaa

Shalom Kaa

Shalom is our Asian looking Maori with a Jewish name (his words). He is very passionate and proud of his Native Maori heritage. HShalome hails from the town of Gisborne on the East Coast of New Zealand's North Island.Tūranganui-a-Kiwa); his tribe is Ngati Porou; He has beautifully rich dulcet Polynesian tones and is a joyful performer and support mentor for our young vocalists.

Kai Chen Lim

Kai Chen Lim

Kai Chen Lim is a film composer, orchestrator/arranger and television producer. Since completing his studies in film music at UCLA’s Film Scoring Extension program, Lim has built a large body of work in both narrative and documentary, short and feature length films, live performance, television and advertisement. This has culminated in award wins and film screenings at festivals such as the Academy Awards® accredited Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF). As an arranger/orchestrator, Lim has been working since 2017 on the VSSS and often arranges for the ABC and Nine Network. Currently, Lim is the Associate Music Producer for Vision Australia’s Carols By Candlelight on Nine Network. Through his many years working in conjunction with TYMPAC, Kai sought to deepen his awareness of collaborating on a musical level with indigenous and Torres Strait island people.

Greyson Butler

Greyson Butler

Greyson participated in various string orchestras and symphonies whilst growing up in the USA. Moving to Darwin expanded his musical ensemble involvement and introduced him to a diverse range of opportunities and understanding. His most memorable and meaningful performances have been those working with First Nations people to express their experiences and stories through music. The beauty of these cross-cultural moments gives his music life unobtainable elsewhere, and he is proud to share the message that we are two, and we are one.

Sarah Ladd

Sarah Ladd

As a violin teacher, Sarah channels the gratitude instilled in her since the age of 4, recognizing the profound impact violin lessons had on her life. She teaches her students the powerful impact of music education, promoting unity through the universal language of the violin. Sarah sees the gift of being a violinist not only as a personal triumph but a tool that is used to cultivate cultural unity working with companies like The Youth Mill Performing Arts Co (TYMPAC) in the Northern Territory, Australia. After living in the Territory for more than a decade, she is happy to call it home. Sarah is proud to help the next generation appreciate diverse music and connect through their performances. It is an honour to be part of companies such as The Youth Mill Performing Arts Co and its educational mission.

HAMISH MARTIN

HAMISH MARTIN

Hamish is a passionate musician and proud Territorian born and raised in Darwin. As well as being a Cellist, he loves fishing, playing sport and taking advantage of what the NT has to offer. Growing up Hamish was inspired by his mother who has a background as a classical musician which helped foster his love for music.  He currently works for the Northern Land Council advocating to give Aboriginal people a voice on issues affecting their lands, seas and communities as well as teaching and playing the Cello as often as he can.

Aaron Dobos is an independent music Producer, Mixer and Engineer based in Melbourne.Aaron has developed a reputation as an in demand Mixer and Producer. He has collaborated with The Avalanches, Danny Brown, G-Eazy & Britney Spears, Angus and Julia Stone, DYGL, Ceres, Swell, Big Words, X Factor, Alex Lahey and many more.His works have received various awards and nominations, charted in top 10 ARIA charts, accumulated hundreds of millions of streams and achieved critical acclaim in a wide variety of publications.
